Dear aspirant....!!
There are so many research institutes in India. First of all you have to identify the institution where you want to apply for scientists post. Some of the premier research institutes are like BARC , ISRO , DRDO ,IGCAR & CSIR etc . minimum eligibility criteria is B TECH degree in engineering field and MSC if you are from basic science background. Although there are some institutes like ISRO who accepts candidates after 12 standard also.
The other way is go for PHD from some reputed institutes like IISC , IIT / NIT or from abroad. and then join as professor in some good college and carry out research.
