If your aim is to become a Lawyer then you can opt for either Arts or commerce stream in 11th and 12th as per your interests. There is no restrictions in joining the Science stream as well but other two streams will be more relatable in future and will be manageable too. You will have to fill out forms for various law entrances in class 12th like CLAT, AILET, SLAT, MHCET, PU BA LLB, LSAT etc. These entrances take place after boards in the month of May/June.

In order to score a good rank in most sought after entrances like CLAT, AILET make sure that you develop a habit of reading newspapers from class 11th itself to work upon your General Knowledge and Vocabulary. You can start preparing for the rest as you want to.
