First of all you need to clear an entrance exam and get admitted to an Computer Science Engineering branch of any Engineering College to become a software Engineer. This is usually done after you've passed your 10+2 with PCM. You can appear for exams like JEE Mains, BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEEE, etc for get admitted into NITs, and other institutes like Birla Institute of Technlogy, SRM, etc. Howevwe, getting into the CSE branch will soley depend on how much you score in the corresponding entrance exams, availibilty of seats, eligibilty criteria, reservation, etc.
