Greetings, aspirant!

If you wish to become a teacher, there are various pathways that you can choose for your career depending on what kind of an institution you wish to join.

You need to get a graduation or a post graduation degree depending on whether you wish to teach at a school level or a college level. After your graduation, you need to pursue a degree in education such as a B.ed or an M.ed.

If you wish to teach in a government Institution as a professor/lecturer, you need to appear for the UGC-NET examination.

Generally, getting a job in a private Institution is easier as the qualifications required are fewer. But a job in a government Institution provides benefits like a higher pay, pensions post retirement, better job prospects etc.

You should start by deciding what kind of students you wish to teach and which subject you wish to teach them.

Hope this information helps

Best of luck!!
