I want to become an IAS officer.Which degree should I purse?

I hope you are doing good in your life and it's a very good decision that you want to become an IAS officer and you must have completed your class 12th and that's why you are worrying that which degree I should pursue.
For this I want to tell you that to become eligible to give UPSC civil services examination you need not to worry about your degree stream because all the candidates are eligible to give UPSC civil services examination doesn't matters in whichever stream they completed their degree.
But I would suggest you one thing that if you want to prepare for UPSC CSE very seriously and delicately only to that then you can pursue Bachelor in Arts as it will help you you in preparing for UPSC civil services examination syllabus as most of the things gets covered in in Bachelor in Arts degree.

- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in any stream from any recognized university.
- Candidates who have appeared for the final examination and are awaiting results can also apply for the Preliminary Examination. However, one must produce a proof of passing a bachelor degree to appear for the civil services Main exam. The degree has to be attached with the application for the Main exam.
- Candidates having professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government or its equivalent are also eligible to apply for IAS exam.
- The minimum age required to appear for the IAS exam is 21 years.
