I want to become an international arbitrator and the one thing that I am extremely confused about is the postgraduate program that I should opt for. Would an MBA help me accelerate my career or would an LLM in international arbitration would be of greater help? Which course would help me?
Hi,
Hope you are well.
To become an International arbitrator, you must posses-
- Minimum of 15 years of senior-level business or professional experience;
- Educational degree(s) and/or professional license(s) appropriate to his/her field of expertise;
- Honors, awards, and citations indicating leadership in his/her field;
- Training and substantial experience in arbitration, mediation, and/or other forms of out-of-court dispute resolution;
- Membership in a professional association(s); and
- Other relevant experience or accomplishments (e.g., published articles).
So, I would suggest go for courses specifically for arbitration, it will enhance your skills and give you an edge over others. MBA is more towards management, but Arbitration is much more than that so, go for Arbitration.
Thanks.
