Assuming you are from PCM stream so better to get more than 75% aggregate if you want to get admission in NITs, IIITs,GFTIs,IITs, BITSAT and 60% are required for private colleges like Jee,VIT,SRM and Manipal. Also, once you clear any of the above said exams then you can choose CS/IT branch as these would be the right option for you. So plan and prepare accordingly so that you can achive your target.

In order to become a software engineer you have to appear for engineering entrance exam. You have to take B.tech degree you can choose CSE branch. You should score 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile to be eligible for top colleges for engineering like NITs/IITs/IIITs and GFTIs.
