You should convince your parents that you are interested in UPSC CSE and you want to become an IAS. You should tell that you want to serve your country in your own way and half heartedly going for NDA, will not provide you the scope to devote yourself for the country.

They are your parents and without any doubt, they will definitely understand your though. You can also add your own perspective that why do you think IAS can be a good career for you.

Convincing your parents is the only way out and you should speak to your parents fluently and I think they will understand your points.
