Hello,

For appearing in UPSC Exam, candidates need to pass Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university and attain 21 years age, one is eligible to apply even in the final year, now BA LLB is a really good option as a career or even for pursuing exam like UPSC your integrated courses will teach you more in depth understanding of humanities subject which you already have a strong foundation for if you belong to humanities stream at 10+2 level, UPSC as exam is more humanities oriented so being a law graduate will help you a lot and yes, you can also have law as an optional subject, as you must know that UPSC syllabus is humongous and the syllabus for optional is nothing short of graduation level, hence law as an optional subject is scoring one as well.
