I want to do biomedical engineering . Can you please suggest some good government colleges and the criteria for it .

Some good govt. colleges for Biomedical engineering (UG), are-

• NIT Rourkela- Admission is made through JEE Main, the counselling for this is done by Central Seat Allocation Board. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the optional subjects Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology or any other technical vocational subject.
• College of Engineering, Guindy- The admission is purely based on merit, on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2. The admission of students is through Single Window Admission System, administered by Anna University. The H.S. marks are scaled to 200, based on whick merit ranks are released. Counselling is conducted based upon the ranking. Candidate should be passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with minimum average of 50% (for Gen. category), 45% (for OBC) and 40% (for ST/SC)
• NIT Raipur- Admission is made through JEE conducted by JoSAA/CSAB and as per the guidelines framed by Ministry of Human Resource Development. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, from a recognized board.
• University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad- Candidate must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana, with Mathematics, Physics and  Chemistry as optional courses, or any other examination recognised by the Osmania University as equivalent. AIl the eligible applicants shall have to qualify at the Common  Entrance Examination. The candidates will be admitted on the basis of merit secured at the Entrance  Examination conducted by the state government of  Telangana, keeping in view the Rules in force regarding the reservations of seats to various categories of candidates.
• Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar- Candidate must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects or any other examination. Admission is based on GUJCET Entrance exam.
• DCRUST Murthal- Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science. Admission is made on the basis of merit of JEE Main.
• LD College of Engineering, Ahmedabad- Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the optional subjects Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology or any other technical vocational subject, with minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST and SEBC). Admission is based on GUJCET Entrance exam.
