i want to do GNM nursing in canada, but i have opted humanities can i do?
As Maths is necessary for pursuing Nursing in Canada. It may not be the best choice for you to select GNM Nursing from purely humanities, pursued in India. But for Indian nurses who have completed Auxilary nursing diploma, general nursing and midwifery courses can join nursing jobs in Canada.
At the secondary education level English and mathematics are required for admission in most of the Canadian universities.
You will still need a level 3 qualification as you will be studying at degree level. A qualification certificate is necessary for the level you get employed.
Good English proficiency and better communication skills is a must.
You must register yourself as nursing students to work abroad.
As a candidate you need to score at least 45%in the 12th board to enroll in GNM.
Some of the nursing Institute are:
1.Athabasca University
2. Dalhousie University
3. Memorial University of New Found land
4. University of Saskatchewan
5.College of Nursing Canada
These institutions has publicly funded system of hospital and medical care since 1968.
Hope your doubt is clear
Thanks
Hello,
After the change in the General Nursing and Midwifery course i.e., according to the revised syllabus of the 2020-21 academic year, the students who have opted for humanities, commerce, and arts can also study GNM nursing. So, yes, you can study nursing even after opting for humanities.
Hope your doubts are cleared. Thank you.
