Hi Aspirant

Your choice is  for doing M.tech in VLSI is good.At first you should try for IITs/NITs/BITs/VIT then think about any other private institution. After completion of course campus placement plays an important role in career building which you can get at reputed institute .Don't hurry for doing M.tech rather think about college at first. If from private then also some good colleges like VIT/BITS/SRM and all other reputed colleges. So you should try for good colleges at first.

All the best.

Heyy Tridip.....

Prefer giving GATE and achieve a good reputated college and this will also help you get scholarship. As for career , p rivate firms offer plenty of job opportunities for candidates who have completed post graduation in VLSI than that in government sector firms. Aspirants can start their career as Application Consultants, Field Application Engineer and Design Engineer in various firms.

The average salary is approximately 6.5 lpa.

Hello,

Very Large Scale Integration, more popularly known as VLSI, has taken over the market not only in India but also across the globe, thereby increasing career opportunities in the field manifold…Engineering students, especially those with an electronics background, instead of choosing the usual software job, can opt for career in VLSI Design, which is not only creative and much more challenging but also high in demand these days.

The demand for the VLSI designers is quite high in order to develop FPGA implementations, System-on-chip and Application Specific Integrated Circuits.
With the Indian market scenario looking good, the scope for a VLSI design professional is bound to grow. However, the best thing about a career in VLSI design is that you are saved from the boring and routine software job.

Hope this helps.....
