I want to do MBA in Finance, but i don't have 50% mark in Graduation, so what to do this, can i join this Course ?
Hello,
All the reputed Institutes in India has eligibility criteria for MBA, students have to meet it before admission. General eligibility is that 50%(45% in the case of reserved category) marks in graduation from a recognized university and need to secure good percentile in national level entrance tests(CAT, MAT and CMAT, etc...) or admission seeking institutes entrance tests like LPUNEST, DSAT, XAT, and SNAP . My advice to you would be that try to improve the marks and then apply for an MBA.
Hope this information will help you.
Good Luck!
Hello Ranjan,
The eligibility criteria for CAT examination is to hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PwD) categories]. Hence, you cannot apply for CAT and further for the colleges that accept only CAT score if you do not fulfill the above criteria.
Fortunately, there is no need to lose hope. There are other good examinations which do not consider graduation score as a part of selection process. These examinations are MAT and CMAT. To know more about the colleges accepting scores of these examinations, I suggest you to visit:

Hi Ranjan,
Majority of the B Schools in India offer a General Management Program. However, you can take up electives and hence specialise in a domain. Even though IIMs give MBA degree, they are of very high value. If you want to do MBA in Finance only, there are many colleges which offer such specialisation.
Colleges have their own admission criteria for taking you in the course. 45-50% in undergraduation should be enough to make it into the college. Once you get in, everyone has equal opportunity to excel and make his/her mark in Finance specialisation. So you can work hard and grab the best placement from there.
I believe it is fine to have 50% in graduation. You would be able to make it to MBA Finance with a good score in qualifying exam.
Dear Patra
Yes you can .There are number of colleges offering MBA finance even though the candidates don't have 50% marks
If you can prepare well for CAT exam and MAT you can even get into good college
Best of luck
For All AICTE approved mBAcolkeges in Full Time you need atkeast 50%aggregate marks in graduation. Hence Going for MBA is not possible.
You can ratger go for CFA certification which is in great demand and canland you good unique jib opportunities into Investment banking, risk Management, equity analyst, strategic planning roles.
Thanks,
Azim
