I want to do mba logistics and supply chain management course in business school ! Which college is good for that ?
Firstly, MBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a great course to pursue if you’re looking to make a career in the same. In the present times, the field of Supply Chain Management and Logistics are booming with job opportunities and the future looks especially good for MBA students. Since across every industry goods need to be procured, stored and dispatched – this specialization makes up a lot of excellent opportunities.
There are many universities that offer MBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management . However, only a handful universities approach the specialization with an industrial angle. UPES is one of few universities that has an industrial edge and is my recommendation if you wish to pursue this course.
UPES is know for its specialized courses that are industry-oriented and offer much more than any other university. The School of Business at UPES is well-known in the industry for its curriculum, industry alliances, placements and much more. There are regular industrial visits at UPES, where MBA get real-time, real-life knowledge about their core industry.
Also, UPES has consistently delivered 96% placements across Top Fortune 500 companies for a few years now. Furthermore, UPES is the first and only Indian university to be rated QS 5 Stars for Employability. So, in the overall sense, UPES will get you what you need from your career.
Hello,
In the current scenario logistics and SCM are booming areas. Job opportunities in the related area are increasing every day. I can suggest you some institutes where you can study MBA in Logistics and supply chain management. My friends and cousins are either studying there or have studied.
Amity University - Amity has a campus in Bangalore also but I am told that it is not very promising. Although they are providing good placement for their students there are many areas where they need to improve. So please make the choice carefully and cautiously. Highest package in the recent year was 14 LPA.
Lovely Professional University - One of my friends is passed out from here in 2016, now he is working with an MNC as a state head of their sales. Their last year placement also good, the highest package was 21 LPA. Recently Amazon hired few students at a package of 28 LPA.
Manipal Academy of Higher Education- This institute is coming under Manipal University. Highest package was 18 LPA.
Symbiosis-
Symbiosis Institute of the premier institute for MBA. Highest salary package in the recent year was 24 LPA.
Presidency-
This is a top university from Bangalore. Their MBA programme is very famous, especially the city like Bangalore, getting a job is an easy task. Because it's an IT hub.

While it is possible to work in supply chain management with only a bachelor’s degree, most top-paid managers need to have an MBA. It also helps if you’re coming into the program with 3-5 years of experience in a related field. This could be in management, purchasing, retail, or even economics.
Some people choose to specialize even further during their schooling to earn industry-recognized certifications. This includes the CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management), and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen are two additional top business models that would help give you the needed edge in your field.
You can do this type of mba from IIT BOMBAY, NITIE BOMBAY, Indian institute of logistics, the school of business logistics.
Firstly you need to understand what supply chain is ?
Supply chain and logistics management form a critical part of any business. They add value both at back-end as well as at front-end of the value chain. Hence, it is very critical to choose manpower that can manage a supply chain with efficiency and effectiveness, so that both firms production operations and end customer objectives are met. With innovative business models in place firms have realized the need of well qualified workforce.
The stream of supply chain / logistics management includes various aspects like demand forecasting, warehousing, supply chain design, procurement, supplier relationship management, logistics decisions, inventory management, distribution and channel management, reverse logistics, supply chain analytics, supply chain benchmarking etc. Firms would prefer prospective candidates to have professional education in this field. There is probably less awareness of opportunities available in our country for professional education in this field.
