Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

Forensic science is a multi-disciplinary field of study, and when you say forensic... you are generally referring to forensic science. Law, physics, medicine, chemistry, and many other fields of study may all be used to obtain a Master's degree in forensic science. It has a place for a large number of applied sciences of this kind.

If by scope you mean "the employment possibilities," then the scope is restricted to government positions exclusively, such as those in the police, judicial system, investigative services of the federal and state governments, and so on. Private detective agencies, the court, and labs, on the other hand, may choose to hire you. It is an extremely difficult career to be in. Unless you are recognised by the government, your "scope" is limited.

The Bachelor of Science in zoology is a programme that will instruct you on how to utilise high-level laboratory equipment for reasearch and the welfare of the biological sciences, among other things. In India, it has a very limited use.

BSc microbiology is one of the most sought-after BSc degrees in the medical profession; it has a wider scope than the two courses mentioned above, and it will get you a job in the designated area fairly quickly if you meet the requirements. The sole disadvantage is that it is not suitable for teaching positions in educational institutions.

So, to do MSc in Forensic, BSc in Microbiology would be preferable.

Hope that you got the answer to your question. Feel free to comment back incase of any doubts. All the Best!

If I don't do msc forensic,do I have to do msc in microbiology immediately after completing bsc microbiology ? I would like to try for government jobs ( bank, rail, forest) for a while (1year) ,then go for msc . Would that be alright? And if I do msc forensic from a university that has good placement for students what are my chances of getting good job ? Please answer
