I want to do M.tech. Please guide me for the same.

M.tech is a post graduation course which is done after the completion of btech. As you are keen to join the mtech course, I assume you have completed or going to complete the btech with flying colors.
The eligibility criteria to join mech is the student should have completed btech in any one of the recognised disciplines successfully without any backlogs.
In order to acquire a seat among top colleges in India you need to clear a national level entrance exam called GATE which helps you to get into various IITs, NITs and other GFTIs based on your rank secured. Some of the private institutions also accept GATE score for admissions in their colleges.
Also, you can clear the state level exams like PGCET in your home state to get admission into the colleges in your home state. Usually college which accept a valid PGCET score also accepts GATE score.
So, aim for a good gate score and you can get into a good college for your MTECH.

Before applying for the course research about the prospects of different courses and your area of interest . You can persue M.Tech in the branch you did B.tech or any other subject.

Admission to M .Tech is based on the candidates' GATE score followed by the centralized counselling jointly conducted by all National Institutes of Technology (CCMT)
