I want to do my Ph.D. in journalism and mass communication in abroad, please list the University's name along with Scholarships detail.
Hi
You can apply for a PhD in Journalism/Communications from several top schools, with or without scholarships.First define your study area, either journalism or communication; these are two different fields of study. You need to select a topic, develop a synopsis, which has to be presented to the University you are applying to. Now a PhD offers funding and research opportunities, basis thesis, project etc. For scholarships abroad, you need to follow a different process altogether. You have to present your study area, SOP, LOR along with other requirements. IT’s basically two application process you have to follow, one for University and another for scholarships.
For Scholarships you can check Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for International Students, Heinrich Boll Scholarships in Germany for International Students, Commonwealth Scholarships for Developing Commonwealth Countries, DAAD Scholarships in Germany for Development-Related Postgraduate Courses among others. You have to check which universities accept these scholarships so as you can specifically apply there. This link might be helpful to you for finding scholorship: http://www.scholars4dev.com/category/field-of-study/journalism-scholarships/
Many Australian Universities offers their own scholarships programmes, along with a list of other scholarships they accept. You need to check that University wise. You can check Monash University, Australian National UNIVErsity, University of New South Wales, RMIT, among others. You have to check individually each university, their eligibility, the PhD subjects they accept, their admission process and so on.
