According to the rules for filling the application form, name and date should be mentioned on the passport photo. It should not be hand written. The backgorund should be white. Yes, you have to but not handwritten. It should be printed on the photograph. You may request the photo studio where you are getting your photo clicked, they will do it for you OR you may use any photo editing tool on your computer and do it yourself. Below are the specifications of the photograph to be uploaded.
For Photograph
File size can be between 10 KB and 100 KB
Format should be .jpg
Should be a colour passport size and taken on a white background
Should carry the name of the candidate and date of taking photograph in print at the bottom
Must be taken on or after January 1, 2018
Candidate should not be wearing cap or goggles. Non-tinted specs are allowed.
