Hello!
Research in India is more forward in the field of physics and analytical chemistry. But not much more advanced in areas like biotechnology and other bio-related areas. The demand of biological research is going to increase lately, so you may take up that according to your interest. Or you can also go for areas like geology, earth sciences, economics or engineering physics, which are ever demanding fields of research.
You did not mention which field you want to pursue research in but, here are some Central Govt. colleges in India with good scope of research in every field:-
1) IISC Bangalore - It continues to be the topmost research institute in India. It provides BS(bachelor of science) programme in Biology,Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Science, Materials , Mathematics and Physics. Admission occurs through KVPY SX SA and SB.
2) NISER Bhubanewsar is the second leading institution for research in India. It also provides BS program in 5 subjects.(Admission through NEST)
3) IISERs (Pune, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Mohali, Bhopal, Berhampur, Tirupati) are also second leading institutions for research in India. It provides BS-MS integrated course in five subjects(Bio, maths, phy, chem, environmental and earth science). IISER bhopal has BS course in economics also !(Admission through KVPY SX and SA, JEE ADVANCED, IISER IAT)
4) CBS Mumbai- The institute at present has 4 departments which are: Physics, Mathematics, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences. Various research works are being carried out at CEBS in close association with institutes like TIFR, BARC, and Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT).(Admission through NEST)
5) IACS (Indian Institute of Cultivation of Sciences) has recently introduced BS-MS integrated program in undergraduate level .(Admission is through UPST and then interview)
Hope this helps:)
Hello,
Your question is not clear enough dear. You said you want to go for research which is good but you didn't mention which field you have chosen. Next you want to study a reputed university but didn't mention which department.
So it's difficult to help you out with query but I'll just a rough knowledge to give you that if any one wants to research fot any department then go for higher study obviously. You complete your bachelor degree then complete your master's degree from requted University or college then you can go for PhD and doing your research from a very good college.
All the best.
