For studies(talking with respect to placements) there are some evergreen areas like-mechanical , computer science, civil , electrical and electronics etc.

When talking of research , the upcoming sectors include renewable sources of energy , nano sciences, robotics etc.

Hope this helps.!!

Hello Abhishek

You can choose any branch from ( civil ; mechanical ;electronics ; mettalergical; electrical ; cs ;chemical etc)

Because research is present in every field.

You have to first work under some one on his research as his /her helper. (For the experience)

Than you can go beyond this.

So you should try to find out the specific things and research field in which you are interested.

Like if you are interested in the strength of different materials and how we can increase the strength of building materials with minimum mass you should choose civil.

Like this you can go in any field and research to make the existing things more better or make new products .And it all carry out only due to your own interest .

So good luck

Dear aspirant,
Every engineering branch(civil, mechanical, Cs, electrical, ec) has research and development part. First of all you have to decide in which field you are interested after that you work as a helper and find your field of interest then you have to go with one perticular topic for research.
Thank you.
