The role of a business analyst is gaining paramount importance in current times. They are one of the most highly paid professionals today. However, to become a business analyst, there are a few skills you would require. Business Analyst is s a highly appealing career path. Like any career, though, the nature of the work itself is a major factor in whether Business Analyst is the right career for you. The skills and competencies you have will, to a large degree, determine your success. Most business analysts have a bachelor's degree and several years of work experience in IT, software engineering, business, or finance. Because a full-time bachelor's degree program typically takes four years to complete, you need to study for at least four years to be qualified for entry-level positions.

Business analysts bridge the gap in understanding between the management of an organization, and the complex data and technical systems businesses use in hopes of improving processes and helping impact decision-making. The role is very much in demand by a large range of companies across the world, who continue to recruit and hire for business analyst roles.


Eligibility:-

A graduation degree is mandatory.

There are many private sector institutions such as banks that are looking to hire a business analyst with any bachelor's degree, including B.com.

Most employees require candidate to have Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, but some prefer candidates with a Master's Degree - Certified Management Consultant (CMC) may have the best job prospects.

You should hold a degree in the relevant field. It is also useful if you carry sound domain knowledge along with relevant experience.

Business analysts must possess analytical skills, along with logical and critical thinking. This helps in interpreting business needs and choosing the best solution for a challenging business problem.

Understanding client needs. Explaining changes to management. Problem-solving with IT.

Communication is central to a business analyst’s day-to-day—so it’s important to hone your spoken and written skills as you start out in your career.

Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is required for a business analyst. This helps in accessing, retrieving, manipulating, and analyzing data. Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL database, Oracle DB, and SQLite is crucial.

Business analysts must know to work on various data visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView, and PowerBI. This will help them create reports and dashboards, forecast data, and make vital business decisions.

Knowledge of programming languages, such as R and Python, is a prerequisite. Programming knowledge helps in solving complex problems and performing faster data analysis.
