To join flying branch in Indian Air Force first thing is you need to be from science background with minimum 60% marks in physics and mathematics in class 12. One should pursue his/her bachelor's degree /post graduation degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks.

Dear Aspirant,
You can give AFCAT examination conducted twice a year for the Flying officer in Indian Air Force if you have a technical background that is BTECH/BE. The exam is conducted in August(AFCAT-2) and January(AFCAT-1). The form is available a month prior to the exam.
The AFCAT has GK, VERBAL, MATHEMATICS(QUANTITATIVE) and REASONING(LOGICAL). Students who clear the cutoff are required to clear the SSB.
