Structural Engineering with specialisation in off-shore structures is very good option for Civil engineering students in Mtech.It deals with offshore design,construction,procurement,t transportation,i installation of the structures subjected to marine environments.
There is a greater scope in this field and most of the people are not aware of this.students who will complete this will have career in the areas of structural design and construction,offshore design and construction,oil and gas sector.They design all kinds of structures from houses,theatres,bridges,oil rigs and off shore structures.And they will so have a good salary.So it is your Best choice which you won't regret.

It is not about the subjects of civil engineering individually but the specialization that one opts for the higher education matters. Civil engineering works are not based on any particular subject, the least you can do it group the similar subjects into a specialization which deals with a particular aspect of civil engineering domain.
Every specialization be it water resources, environmental engineering or geotechnical engineering, everywhere work is going on extensively and exhaustively. Assuming you to be student-in-making a civil engineer , any subject that appeals you specially, search more about it, to which specialization it leads to and aim that.
