I want to know about best law college in Punjab.

Hey.



There are various good colleges in Punjab. Among the top colleges for Law fall the following-



1. Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law or RGNUL is among the top colleges. It is a National Law university. Admission here is done on the basis of your score and marks in the entrance test- CLAT. It only offers 5 year programme of law and not 3 years. The placement record is decent, though it is not as good as the other NLUs.



Courses offered-  BA LLB, LLM



Eligibility criteria- Atleast 45% marks in your 12th board exams from a recognised board in any stream for the Unreserved category and atleast 40% for the Reserved category in your 12th board exams.



Application process- Application proces for CLAT will begin from 10th of January, 2019 for this session.



2. UILS, Panjab University, Chandigarh is also among the top law colleges of Law in Punjab. It offers admission in 5 year law course only and not 3 year. Admission in done through self conducted entrance tests- PU BA/BCOM LLB along with 12th boards result. 50% weightage is given to each. The college is considered good for litigation as well as judicary. Placements have recently started in this college and hence are average.



Courses offered-  BA LLB, BCOM LLb, LLM



Application process- Application proces for PU BA LLb will begin from 3rd week of march 2019 for this session.



Eligibility Criteria-



Atleast 50% aggregate in your 12th board exams from a recognised board.



3. Department of Law, Panjab University, Chandigarh-  Admission here is done through a self conducted entrance test- PU LLB. It offers only a 3 year law degree which you can pursue only after graduation along with LLM courses. It is considered good for litigation as well as judiciary. There are no placements

ELIGIBILITY Criteria-



You would be required to score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in your graduation degree to be eligible.



Application Process- The application process will begin from Third weel if April.



4. Army Institute of Law Mohali-



Admission here can be done on the basis of their self conducted entrance test called         AIL LET. There is reservation for candidates with army background.  There are only 4 seats for the general category without army background. There is reservation for Punjab state residents too, admission of which is done on the basis of your 12th board examination's marks. This college has a decent placement record in the corporate field.



Eligibility Criteria-



Atleast 50% aggregate in your 12th board exams from a recognised board.



Application process- Application proces for PU BA LLb will begin from 3rd week of may 2019 for this session.



Courses offered-  BA LLB, LLM

Other than these, other decent colleges are-

GNDU Amritsar, Punjabi University Patiala.

The best law college in Punjab is Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala. They provide 2 courses of law i.e BA LLB and LLM.
They accept CLAT  and CLAT PG exam scores for admissions.
The total course fee for BA LLB is approximately Rs. 7 lakh and the duration of the course is 5 years.

The punjab uniersity will be conducting entrance exam - PU LLB for admission.. The minimum eligibility will be scoring 45% marks in class 12th so that you can appear in PU LLB exam.
