Geeta see , based upon your major subjects in your Class 12th you can be able to select your own stream as well the department in that respective college. If you are having the Biology subject in your Class 12th then definitely you can go with the option Bio informatics / Bio Medical options in your engineering domain.

Hello,
Just as my colleague said, mathematics is a "must" for all the engineering including genetic engineering and biotechnology, but if you wish pursue a similar to engineering course, mainly in the field of biology, you can now opt in for B.Sc course and then plan your PG courses accordingly, since mathematics is not a necessity for all B.Sc courses. Also, if you are willing to pursue MBBS, your PG research may allow you to take your desired choice, but CONSULT a professional in the field of medical for this option.
Either way you will have to study mathematics, since it is considered as base of all engineering courses. But don't panic there always is a solution available.

I'm sorry but if you want to pursue engineering then Maths is a must subject. Even for the main exam of engineering, that is, JEE Mains, it is necessary for the candidates to have Maths in their stream with Physics and Chemistry.
