Here is some information about admission in KMCT college of engineering for Mtech :

The student should have scored a minimum 55 % aggregate mark in the Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Degree Examination. For SC/ST student should  pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient.

Also Candidates who have passed AMIE/AMIETE examination are also eligible for admission to M. Tech courses.

So without gate score you will get admission.

Do you have any particular choice for college? I must mention that GATE exam is necessary for top institutions like IITs and NITs. It is better to do M.Tech. from these institutions. Or you can do it in abroad.

IITs may organise a separate written test followed by personal interview for those without GATE score. They may require you to have 8 C.G.P.A. or higher depending on their admission notice. The syllabus is similar to that of GATE.

Yes, it is also possible to do M.Tech. from private institutions where they may conduct their own test,accept a particular C.G.P.A. or select according to GATE rank.
