The NIFT Entrance Examination is conducted every year by the National Institute of Fashion Technology   for admission to its undergraduate (Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fashion Technology) and post-graduate courses in Fashion.

The entrance consists of three parts - written test, situation test and personal interview. Shortlisted candidates will be offered admission in various design programmes across the 16 campuses of NIFT.

There are 19 participating colleges and Number of Seats are 2370 Seats.

Mode of application is online and Mode of Exam is offline.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts the NIFT entrance exam to shortlist aspirants for admission in design programmes offered by it. In 2020, around 23,000 students took the NIFT entrance exam to secure admission in UG and PG courses offered by the design school.

NIFT entrance exam is three-tiered in its format for BDes and MDes course admissions. As part of the NIFT entrance exam 2021 for BDes and MDes admissions , candidates have to first appear for the Creative Ability Test (CAT) which is followed by a General Ability Test (GAT). The final admission round for the BDes course is a Situation Test and that for MDes is GD/PI round. On the other hand, for BFTech course admissions candidates have to take the GAT exam only whereas for MFTech and MFM programmes, candidates have to appear for GAT and GD/PI admission round.

On the basis of NIFT exam, candidates can secure admission in courses such as  Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM), and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech).

NIFT entrance exam dates are usually declared in the month of October, every year. NIFT Entrance Exam 2021 is expected to be held in the month of January.

It is an entrance exam conducted by National Insitute of Fashion Technology to offer admission to the design aspirants in B.Des , B.FTech, M.Des and M.FTech courses.This entrance exam consists of three parts - written test, situation test and personal interview. The eligibility is pretty basic 12th passed OR 3-4 year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education OR GCE examination for B.des course but for B.FTech 12th should be from PCM stream.You can read below the complete eligibility and application form details though application form for NIFT 2021 is not started yet it is expected to be announced soon.
