I want to know about Ph.d. I am post graduated with Chemistry. I want to do Ph.d with art subject. (English or pshycology) Can I do Ph.d with art subject?

Hello,
In order to pursue PhD in particular subject, it's imperative to have Master's Degree in that concerned subject, you can do PhD in Chemistry or any other of its relevant field, say for example you san pursue PhD in biochemistry, but not in any other streams whether it's arts.commerce, management.
