A software engineer holds a degree in Computer Science of Information technology . The students who are in this field are immersed in software development . They have experience with some of the programming languages like C,C++,Python,Java etc . They should know these computer languages well as they mainly work and do different projects on them . This field is so wide and there are lot of opportunities related to computer applications and systems . The best field in software development is App Development and it has a high pay . Software Engineer is a job profile in IT companies. Though the job description remains the same, the role and  designation might change. In few companies, they are also called Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, etc. To start off, you need to have Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry ( or any vocational subject in your 12th. Now there are quote a few entrance exams for admission to B.Tech courses. But JEE Mains is conducted at National level. Once you appear for any of the exams and qualify in JEE Mains and get a seat, there are 2 ways about getting into core software. You pick up a CSE branch and study to become a software IT Professional. And the other is take up any course like Mechanical Engineering, etc and learn a software course and then start applying for jobs. As mentioned, the job designation might be different in different companies.
