I want to know about the placement, fee for the whole course and cut off for computer science engineering

First thing is your fee has no relation with your department . It's same for all undergraduate students belonging to any department. The tuition fee is ₹1,00,000 per semester. There are some other fees (hostel , mess, other charges etc) which makes a sum of around ₹35,000 per semester. So you have to pay a net amount of about ₹ 1,35,000 per semester.

There is fee waiver on some criterias.

If you belong to SC or ST category then you will get 100% fee waiver on tuition fee. That means you have to just pay around ₹35000 per semester.

If you are from General or OBC category and your family income is less than ₹1,00,000 p.a then also you will get 100%fee waiver.

For general and OBC whose family income is between ₹1,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 p.a will get a fee waiver of 66% and have to pay ₹33,000 (or ₹34,000) per semester as tuition fee . So roughly it makes a sum of ₹70,000 per semester.

Now if your family income is above ₹5,00,000 p.a then you are not eligible for getting any fee waiver and have to pay the full fee.

There are various scholarships available on different criteria . Try to get that and loans are also easily available form different banks for one who need it.

Coming to the placements:

Everyone knows about the 1st day placement of IIT KGP. I mean in day 1 only more than 1000 student gets placed. So, please do not caremuch about Placements. Some companies which are favorite of Private institutes are blacklisted from IIT KGp, for ex: Swiggy Zomato and many more. Avg placements are somewhat of 12.2 lpa
