Ayush as you have cleared the JEE Mains cut-off and you are eligible for JEE Advanced examination so as your first step you will need to register yourself for JEE Advanced examination which will start from 2nd May 2018 and its last date is 7th May 2018. Make sure you complete your exam registration within the timeline and give 200% in your last days' preparation before the exam which will be held on 20th May 2018.
And you can worry about the college counselling sessions later because all these will start after JEE Advanced examination result which will come on 10th June 2018. You will get the chance to select the colleges with branches as your priority after seeing your JEE Advanced & JEE Mains result among different IITs, NITs and IIITs. This seat allotment rounds will run from 19th June 2018 to 15th July 2018. And within this time you can also apply in various private engineering colleges which also gives admission on the basis of JEE Main exam marks.
