The purpose of the GATE test is to test students' knowledge and understanding of their undergraduate studies in Engineering and Science. Every year lakhs of engineering graduates from universities and colleges of engineering. GATE In the current competitive environment, measurement and evaluation of engineering students is possible only through GATE testing.
The GATE rating of the person to be drafted and used by many public sector (PSU) activities (i.e., state-owned companies such as Indian Oil, GAIL, and Hindustan Petroleum etc. from CSIR and Scholarship to ME / M.Tech many more.

GATE exam stands for graduate aptitude test for engineering.This exam is conducted by IITs(IIT KANPUR,IIT GUWAHATI,IIT BOMABY,IIT DELHI,IIT KHARAGPUR AND IIT ROORKEE) evry year for btech graduate or passed graduate or equivalent to degree btech graduate to proffer opportunities to get job in PSU,or to pursue further studies in IITs or NITs.Clearing gate exam can be considered advantageous for engineering students who desirous to enter PSUs because of this entrance examination ,lot of time is saved by candidates as they do not have to prepare separately for different exam for company.And score of this exam is valid for three years. Now about examination ,mode of examination is online;duration =3hrs;paper is divided into three category : aptitude,mathematics and question related to your stream.

Hi Aspirant! GATE is one of the national level exam for engineering students. GATE exam is a gateway for admission to the various postgraduate engineering programmes offered by the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs as well as for high pay PSU jobs. GATE is known as Graduate aptitude Test in Engineering.This exams is conducted every year once by one of the reputed IITs for all streams of engineering and many more.There are PSUs jobs which you can get through GATE.If you wish to pursue ME/M.Tech/MS/PHD from IITs/NITs/GFTIs/Foriegn University ,GATE can open all your ways.
If you wish to pursue MBA/PGDM then also GATE can help you.Valid GATE score can open all doors for you.
Syllabus of every year remains almost same i.e all your branch paper subjects , Engineering and discrete mathematics and aptitude.
You can appear when you are in final year of your B.Tech/B.E or you are passout/graduate.
