1. If you are a still a school student ( studying in class 11 and 12 ) you can appear for the CLAT(common law admission test) exam. After this exam with the good score in it you can join the B.A.L.L.B Course for 5 years from any one of the 16 National Law Universities. These NLUs are widely regarded as the best law colleges in India. If you are already a graduate, you can do a 3 year law course. Delhi University’s Faculty of Law has the best 3 year law course in India and conducts its own entrance exams for the same. None of the NLUs provide for a 3 year law course.
2. Cracking CLAT is your only access to gain an entry into the best of the National Law Schools. There are some other exams than CLAT which can get you into good institution for Law course.
Other than CLAT, LSAT India has gained popularity over the last few years. Some prominent private law colleges use LSAT India. Symbiosis, Noida and Symbiosis, Hyderabad too have started law courses recently. (http://www.set-test.org/) AILET is the entrance test conducted by NLU, Delhi (Yes, NLU Delhi doesn’t take students on the basis of the CLAT exam).
