Hello,

Currently, the CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf) quota in Indian educational institutions is primarily available in certain categories of undergraduate courses, such as engineering, under the DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) scheme. However, this quota is not widely applied across law colleges in India. As of now, law schools do not commonly have a specific CIWG quota for admissions, unlike fields like engineering where the CIWG quota is active.

For engineering and other technical programs, about 5% of the supernumerary seats within DASA are reserved for CIWG candidates. This includes students from Gulf countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and others. These students pay the same fees as Indian nationals, which is a significant benefit.

However, CIWG benefits for law admissions are rare, and interested candidates are advised to check with individual institutions for any specific policies.

Hope it helps !

hello,

Law colleges in India generally do not have a specific CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf countries) quota. However, certain institutions may consider similar categories under the NRI or DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) schemes, which sometimes overlap with CIWG in technical courses but rarely in law courses.

You might explore opportunities in NLUs or other top private law colleges that accept NRI/foreign student quotas. The best way to confirm is to check directly with the institutions you’re considering or review their admission criteria via CLAT or specific entrance exams like AILET for NLU Delhi.

Hello there,

Currently, there is limited information about law colleges in India offering admissions under the CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf) quota. This quota typically applies to engineering and architecture programs through the DASA (Direct Admission for Students Abroad) scheme. For law programs, it doesn't seem to be commonly available.

You may need to check directly with specific universities or contact the Ministry of Education to confirm if any law colleges provide this quota.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

The CIWG quota is available only for engineering colleges in India. This is not the case with law colleges.

It is, therefore, a logical conclusion that no law college in India provides admissions under the CIWG quota.

As a law graduate in India, you would have to qualify based on general eligibility criteria of any school offering law that includes any bachelor's degree in any discipline in order to join the bar in India.

You may also need to appear in law entrance exams like CLAT or AILET, for getting admission into a law school.
