Dear Aspirant!

The last year i.e., 2019 cut-off for B.E. - chemical Engineering program in Annamalai University for general category through TNEA counselling was between 7441-9384, 65958 for SC, 72959 for MBC (Most Backward Classes), 62047 for OBC and 42409 for BC-Muslims Category.

Annamalai University is an Open university which was established in the year 1929. The university provides more than 14 courses for its B.E. Program. As you mentioned that you're interested in the Chemical engineering specialization, the college offers lateral entry as well for the same program. The fees for 4 year program is INR 2.60 lakhs while for lateral entry it is INR 1.95 lakhs. The college has been approved by AICTE and has also been recognized by UGC. The college has 7 hostels inside its premises, out of which one is for international students. Various sports facilities are provided along with sports resources. The teachers are well-experienced as well. You can check more about the University's infrastructure, placements, courses offered and a lot more at careers360.com/university/annamalai-university-annamalai-nagar .

Just Like every branch in engineering, Chemical engineering requires the will to pursue and some basic interest for the branch. The placements are pretty good but depends on the college you are pursuing it from. It provides job flexibility as well. One can also contribute to the society as a Chemical Engineer if he/she decides to be a researcher in the same field. Overall, I Would say that if you have the required interest then you can pursue it.

I Hope, this information will be beneficial for you.
