Hello student,
In BSEB Class 12th improvement exams , the policy is different from CBSE's "Best of Two" system . Here's how it works:
For BSEB, if you get less marks in any subject in the improvement exam, the lower marks will be considered , not the previous year's marks. There is no "Best of Two" system like in CBSE.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Yes, in the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 12th improvement exams, if you appear for improvement in a subject and score lesser marks than your previous year's marks, the previous year's marks will be retained for that subject. This is similar to the best-of-two policy followed by CBSE.
This policy ensures that your overall marks cannot decrease because of the improvement exam. Only the better marks (either from the improvement exam or the previous year) will be taken into account.
If you take an improvement exam for a subject in BSEB Class 12th and score higher, the better marks will be considered, just like in CBSE where the best of the two scores is used. So, your improved score will count toward your final result.
Whenever you opt for improvement exam a new Marks Sheet-cum-Certificate is issued in case of change of marks. It is issued only after the old Marks Sheet-cum-Certificate has been surrendered.
if you score less in the improvement exams your previous score would be considered.so if a student get less marks in any one subject in bseb class 12th improvement then also previous marks s consider just like CBSE board.
Hope it is helpful to you!!
