I want to know that NARULA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AGARPARA is good for mechanical engineering. If no then suggest some college in wb.

Narula is never a placement master and surprisingly the management is not so focused about the placement of the students. Rather, the JIS group is very much keen in marketing about the group and the infrastucture (half hearted, just for namesake) offered to the students for making the closing rank better.

I am 2011 passout from Electrical batch had secured the first job offer of our batch from M/s Jai Balaji Industries Limited (steel plant in Durgapur) through a pool campus organised at AOT, Adisaptagram. But later the offer was cancelled and the placement cell was clueless and very much reluctant to arrange any other substitute option for me.

In our pass out year few students were placed at UBI as IT officer be , few at Siemens IT system, Oracle, Verizon. Obviously the common saver of all WBUT colleges nearby Kolkata TCS, Tech Mahindra. Except these, no remarkable company were in the list.

Really speaking, though this college is situated in Kolkata and it is the flagship Engineering college of JIS group, Narula has moved a little forward from the 2007–2008 time placement statistics. Still when I check the placement list of our college there is no new big shot in the recruiter list. But college is highlighting the solo success stories of some hardworking alumnus in its website, where there is hardly any credit of college for clearing GATE, or clearing any PSU.

Finally, yes I agree with Mr. Mainak Sinha, “If you have already taken admission in Narula then its too late and I can only wish you luck but if you haven't taken admission then I'd advice you to reconsider your decision.’’
