To be eligible to apply for the course, aspiring candidates need to have attained the 10+2 qualification from a recognized educational Board. The course is offered in the country at an average annual course fee ranging between INR 1 and 5 Lacs, varying across institutes.
BPT COURSE: ELIGIBILITY
Interested eligible candidates are offered admission to the course in India mostly on the basis of performance in a relevant institute-specific entrance test. Often subsequently, two additional rounds of Group Discussion and Personal Interview are held for assessment of the candidates general aptitude for the course.

- Candidates wishing to pursue the course are needed to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria listed below in order to apply for the course:
- Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent qualification, completed from a recognized university, in the Science stream, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects.
- A minimum aggregate score of50%or equivalent CGPA at the 10+2 level (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
