Financial background doesn't matter alot in college but as the question sounds you are talking about the money spend on coaching and staying in different city. Let me clear one thing JEE Mains is not a high profile examination it just tests the basic knowledge of the candidate but Jee advance is a bit different examination. As far as Jee Mains is concerned self study and a person who can solve your problems is the utmost requirement to crack JEE with a good rank. Taking drop is a good idea if you are determine and you believe that you can perform well if you appear twice more in Jee. As NTA is going to conduct Jee Mains twice I think that drop will be totally ok if you are not getting any college in your first Jee. In my views if your financial condition is not too good just don't go away from your home town and join any good coaching near to your home or take any DLP from good institute.
Hello Gunjan,
This is a very subjective question and my opinion may vary from others or you. See first you need to take into consideration your inclinations for engunengine and be sure that it is what you want to do.
Taking government college would definitely be more pocket friendly and will provide quality education that. Expensive private institutions.
If you prefer taking a drop, it's a good option, you can take it .But I would say prefer self study and test series. Coachings usually take up a lot of unjust fee. You can take distance packages though. And if you can score better the next year in jee you can apply for scholarships.
Else you can take up b.tech from central university like university of Allahabad. Which is a subsidised college where tution fee is not more than two thousand rupees per annum and hostels are subsidized too.
All in all, look for the alternatives and think properly before you make up your mind .
Have a bright future.
if you want to pursue your career in engineering and your academic score is good, there will no obstacle in your path. however your jee main rank is what will decide your future in engineering. see there are many state government college where fees ae very low compare to pvt colleges. and in iits and nits there are many scholarships for financialy not capable students. so if you cant get good government state level colleges or iits or nits i suggest you to drop 1 year for preparation.
If you read 11th and 12th well and properly then you can drop. There is no need of joining any institution. You can prepare for the exam through self study and from home .But for this you have to study very sincerely, regularly, self desiring. You should be laborious. If you have problem somewhere then you may take help of video lecture ,online study. You should prepare for the exam from very early.
Hope you get it.
