i want to my btech in cse course, for my rank i am getting nits present in north east which is too far which i cannot preffer, also i may get in some iiits like lucknow, kancheepuram, etc. i want to know that whether these iiits are better or nits present in north east which are not among top nits ?

Before telling you which is better, a few words about NE NITs and IIITs.
When it comes to North Eastern NITs it depends on whether it is newly established NIT or old ones. Old institutes like NIT Agartala and NIT Silchar have good placements. However new NITs do not have impressive placements. When it comes to infrastrucutre and facilities, they are not so good as in other NITs or IIITs for that matter. However, faculties are good and well trained.
Coming to IIITs, IIIT Lucknow is a newly established one and and IIIT Kancheepuram is a 2007 established IIIT and completely regulated governmnet. Infrastrcture is great in all these IIITs. Placements vary depending on whether it is new or old.
So, if you are choosing for NE NIT, then choose only if you can get old NITs there. Otherwise, IIIT is a safer and better choice.
