Hey there

See CAT is an exam which can easily be cracked at home. It has three sections Quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and data interpretation, verbal reasoning and reading comprehension. All these sections are the same which you have read in your 10th. start preparing from quantitative as its pure maths and one should focus in it as it is considered tough, then go for LRDI along with verbal get help from youtube and read newspaper. refer arun sharma books for good basics.

good luck

Hello!

Fllow the below mentioned tips on how to prepare for CAT without coaching.

1.Take Mock Test- helps to know your strengths and weaknesses.

2. Know the Exam Pattern- You need to check the exam pattern as well as the syllabus of CAT.

3. Time Management-

4. Create Study Groups

5. Get Right Study Material- Search for the books that are rich in content rather than heavy as per the quantity. While preparing for CAT always go for quality rather than quantity books.

6. Use Technology- Try to figure out which are the best educational sites which can assist and upgrade your CAT preparation efforts

7. Be Motivated & Have Faith in Yourself

Thanks!

Hope it helps!

hi,

see cat exam is a highly competitive exam, every year numerous students sit for CAT, since iims, fms delhi, pumba, sp jain like institute provides admission on cat score , however you need to prepare at least one long year besides your study or job, first of all you need to revise the initial studies and check the  previous years papers. also need to mark on weak areas, another thing is you need to practice a lot of questions every day, need to give equal importance for each of the section.

also I suggest you to regular work on soft skill like communication, debating, gd preparation since iims and most tier 1 institute has gd and pi round after shortlisting of students based on cat score.

hope it would help.
