thanks for asking your query ,for the preparation of iit jee you have to join a good jee coaching centre from there you would get study materials and necessary guidence you should follow ncert books because many questions are asked from there .For gate also coaching is required and engineering notes are required for the respective branches .You should thoroughly follow the current syallabus of gate and iit jee.
