With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that there are many ways by which you can pursue Biomedical Course after class 12th.
- You can Enrol for a recognized 4-year degree program in engineering. This ideally should be a B.E. or B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering.
- In case you pursue an undergraduate course in mechanical/electrical/chemical/electronics/computer engineering, then you would need to do a Post Graduate course in Biomedical Engineering. A Post Graduate course in Medical Technology is also acceptable.
- If you are keen on doing a B.Sc. course, then pursue B.Sc.BME, which is a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, and then follow it up with a Master's degree in the same field.
As a fresher who has just completed engineering, you can apply for a position in a private hospital with a starting salary of up to 20k. Once you add about four to five years of experience to your C.V., you can earn in the range of 30k to 40k and with a promotion to the position of Head the Department, you can earn over 60k.
