I want to pursue BSc Physics. I had PCB at 10+2. Am I eligible if yes then which college?

Yes. You are eligible to study BSc Physics.

You can select my college where I am the HOD of Physics Department.

My college name is School of arts and science, an ambit college of Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation deemed to be University.

hello aspirant,

The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing b.sc physics is you should have 50 percent of marks in 10+2, under recognised board.

some of the top colleges for b.sc physics are :

1)Loyola college chennai

2) christ university banglore

3)university of delhi, st stephens college.

The admission process is completely merit based.

yes you are eligible to take up B.sc physics,.

could you mention your marks in 10+2 so that i will tell whether you meet basic requirements to get admission or not

82 in hindi
85 in physics
87 in chemistry
87 in biology. In the 10+2 . From ISC board

Hi Yasir. The basic qualification criteria for BSc Physics is 10+2 in Science stream core / compulsory subjects -with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English.There are many colleges that offer BSC Physics. A few of them have been listed as follows:

  • Loyola College
  • St. Stephen’s College
  • Christ University ( Department of Science)
  • Miranda House
  • Hansraj College
  • Madras Christian College (MCC)

So this means sir that mathematics is not a core subject....however many universities like AMU require Maths in q0+2

Yasir, in the information provided to you, I have given option in Biology and Mathematics ( Biology/Mathematics) which means that some institutes will demand biology as core subject with other core subjects. Whereas, a few can demand Maths as core subject with other core subjects.
