i want to pursue PCM in class 11th...so will it be tough for me to practice computer science as elective subject ?
Hi aspirant,
We all know that science specially with PCM as subjects is quite difficult but it would not be very tough to study Computer Science as the fifth or elective subject. Actually Computer Science as a subject it is quite interesting and not very difficult in terms of preparation at the intermediate level. In class eleventh and twelfth you would only be taught about the basic syntax and some programs using the predefined functions that are quite fun to learn. Also we all know that computer science and engineering or software engineering is the most opted engineering branches so it would definitely help you in future if you are aiming to go in the same field. You need not to pay a lot of attention to this subject just attend the classes well and give some time to it on the weekends and you would be salted as the syllabus is quite less and easy to learn.
Hope it helps!
I had many friends during my Class 11 and 12, who had taken Computer Science along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). According to them, it would have been better if they had taken Physical Education (instead of Computer Science) so that they could have given more time on PCM subjects , i.e. the subjects you would need to crack any Engineering Entrance (held in India). Thus, there is absolutely no need to take Computer Science if you want to pursue B.Tech Computer Science (CS) Course after 12th. Thus, I would personally suggest you to take Physical Education along with PCM in class 11th as well as in 12th.
However it also depends on personal interest. If you are really passionate about Computer Science, and have that confidence in you that you can very well manage your time and able to give priority to PCM subjects along with Computer Science, then you can take Computer Science as elective subject.
