Hi Aman,
For admission into an M.Arch. program in Canada, you will have to meet the following admission requirements:
- English Language Proficiency scores: This can include either the TOEFL iBT or the IELTS test scores. A minimum of 100 for TOEFL iBT is required and a minimum of 7 on the IELTS is required by the top universities.
- A Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Letters of Reference/Recommendation (2 or 3 depending on the university)
- Official transcripts: For most masters programs, the university requires the applicant to have completed education equivalent to a four-year bachelor's degree.
- A CV
Other requirements which often depend upon the university include:
- Creative Portfolio: This includes upto 30 pages of your past architectural work and is a requisite for some of the most prestigious universities.
- Writing Samples: Some universities require applicants to submit one or two writing samples in order to ensure that the candidate has the required academic writing capability which would be required in at the post graduate level.
Most of the top M. Arch. programs do not require any GRE scores for admittance.
