I want to take admission in delhi university but there is a correction in my father's name in class 12th marksheet so can affidavit work.

For admissions in Delhi University ,the documents related to class 12th are Class XII Provisional/ Original Certificate/ Mark Sheet , Recent Character Certificate ,Transfer/ Migration Certificate.
Incase there is an error in your Father's name, then you can present Provisional certificate or Original passing certificate of class 12th with an application mentioning the error and promise of submission of the document once the error is rectified. Also you can present an Affidavit with the same application mentioned above. You should also keep a copy of your father's official document which has his correct name like Voter Id card, Aadhar card, Driving license etc as an evidence.

This totally depend on the delhi university.
May this will led to cancellation of your form.
But do not loose hope.
While going for admission may take your fathers identity proof having correct name and your 10th marksheet, aadhar card having your fathers correct name, and for an alternative also take affidavit with you.
Hope this will solve your matter or you can go to college help desk and get your querie solve by the management.
