There are state level entrance exams for admission in Engineering through which you can get seat in a government college.If you please tell us the state to which belong to we may help you further with the entrance exam you may have to appear.Few government colleges also conduct their own entrance exams.

The government engineering colleges basically require JEE(Mains) scores to grant admission to their B.Tech. programmes. Some private institutes conduct their individual entrance exams (eg. BITSAT, MET, VITEE, SRMJEEE etc.) .
So, you will have to apply for JEE(Mains).
The date of application for this exam is over for this year.
You can apply for JEE(Mains)-January 2021 session for which, online form will be available from the first week of September onwards.
For April 2021 session, application form is usually released in February.

Besides this, there are some state entrance exams for admission to the govt. and private engineering colleges of that particular state, like WBJEE( in West Bengal), TS EAMCET (in Telangana), AP EAMCET (in Andhra Pradesh) etc.

For B.Tech admissions in government colleges you can give national level exams like joint entrance examination Main and Joint entrance examination advanced to get into NITs and IITs colleges. You can give state level exams like TS Eamcet and get good ranks to government colleges like Osmaina university or JNTUH.
