IPU CET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of IPU CET before proceeding with the application process. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will be conducting the IPU CET examination for the candidates whishing to take admissions in the programmes offered by the university. Candidates will need to meet the set IPU CET eligibility criteria. Admission will be given to the candidates on the basis of the set criteria by the admission authority of the university. The university has reserved some seats for the minority category candidates, such candidates will be required to provide the proof of their category to get a seat in the reserved category. The eligible candidates will only be able to download their admit card and then would be able to appear for the examination. Candidates applying for the B.Tech degree programme in the university must meet the below mentioned criteria to be able to get the admission through IPU CET in the desired degree programme.

Candidates must have pass their class 12th examination.

Candidates currently in their class 12th are also eligible to apply for the entrance examination.

Candidates must have secured atleast 55% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology, provided the candidates has passed in each subject individually.

Candidates must have also passed in English subject as a compulsory subject.

IPU CET Reservation Criteria

The admission authority of the university has reserved a certain number of seats for the candidates belonging to the minority categories. Candidates who wish to take admission under the reserved quota must present the valid documents at the time of document verification. Candidates will be required to submit the following documents at the time of document verification of counselling process:

Caste or category certificate issued by the government authority.

Certificate of reservation in the name of the candidate issued by the state government or regional authority.

10% of the seats are reserved for the management quota

IPU CET Application Form

The application form of IPU CET will be available in an online mode tentatively from the third week of February, . Candidates will be required to provide all the valid information while filling up the application form. If the information provided in the application form is not valid or if the information provided is incomplete, the admission authority will have the right to reject such applications. Candidates must upload the documents in the prescribed formats.

Dear Priya, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will conduct IPU CET 2019 tentatively in the second or third week of May for various undergraduate engineering courses. All the engineering aspirants wishing to take admission in the university can apply for IPU CET 2019 online by submitting the application forms which are expected to be available from the third week of February till the first week of May. The eligibility criteria is:

• The candidate must have passed the class 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised central or state board or any equivalent exam.

• The candidate must have obtained a minimum of aggregate 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, and have passed each of these subjects separately.

• The candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective or functional).

• Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons with Disability will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

• Candidates appearing for Class 12 in 2019 are also eligible to apply.

IPU CET 2019 will be a multiple choice questions based paper of 2 hours and 30 minutes conducted in a pen and paper mode. Each question will carry 4 marks. There will be a negative marking. For every incorrect attempt, 1 mark will be deducted. The syllabus of IPU CET 2019 will be based on the 10+2 level syllabus. The paper of IPU CET 2019 will have three sections of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section will carry equal weightage.
