I want to take admission in RV college. What is the criteria to take admission in MCA ?

For doing MCA , mathematics is mandatory either in 12th or graduation. You are a commerce student (12th) and you have not studied mathematics in 12th but you will study mathematics in graduation if you choose BCA and would be eligible for doing MCA . The course emphasis on latest programming languages and tools to develop better and faster applications. BCA makes a base while MCA adds a specialized touch in the subjects studied in BCA.

Eligibility:

• Students who have done their graduation in any discipline like Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, BCA / BSc IT/ BSc CS from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
• Aspirants should have studied Mathematics subject in the 10+2 standard or graduation level.
• The qualifying examination must be passed with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category candidates).

Exams are usually conducted in the months of April and May. I am enlisting the exams :All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) ,IPU- MCA -CET Lovely Professional University (LPU-NEST) ,GGSIPUS,  SMUET, BIT MCA , JNU MCA , NIT MCA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (NIMCET) PUNE UNIVERSITY .

The admission for local candidates in MCA in RV College of Engineering are done on the basis of PGCET conducted by KEA and seats for Karanataka and non resident candidates are filled through PGCET/KMAT conducted by Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association Authority.

Also, the minimum eligibility to apply for general category students is 50% whereas reserved category candidates (SC/ST) can apply with 45%.
